Mock CQC Inspection

Delivery

On-site

Best for

Providers who want an independent view of how their service may stand up to CQC scrutiny and where evidence, systems or practice may need strengthening.

A mock CQC inspection provides an impartial, practical review of your service against the current CQC assessment framework, relevant regulations, Fundamental Standards and applicable guidance. It can help leaders and teams identify gaps, understand priorities and address issues before they affect the quality of care or the service’s regulatory position.

Support may include

Reviewing governance, evidence, systems, policies and quality assurance processes.

Speaking with leaders and team members about how arrangements work in practice.

Reviewing or observing relevant practice within the agreed scope.

Providing a comprehensive report with clear findings and prioritised recommendations.

Typical engagement

Mock inspections usually take 3–5 days, depending on the size and type of service and the agreed scope. Associated travel and accommodation expenses apply for on-site work.

Ongoing Compliance
Regular compliance support

Ongoing Compliance

Delivery

Remote

Best for

Providers who want regular, practical support to maintain compliance, review evidence, strengthen governance and work through action plans.

Ongoing compliance support provides an experienced external perspective without requiring a large one-off project. It can help registered managers and other leaders maintain momentum, review systems and evidence, work through difficult issues and keep improvement activity on track.

Support may include

Reviewing and auditing systems, policies, procedures and quality assurance processes.

Helping providers demonstrate ongoing compliance and improvement through appropriate evidence.

Providing practical input on difficult, sensitive or emerging compliance issues.

Creating, reviewing and progressing action plans in response to identified areas for improvement.

Typical engagement

Ongoing support is usually provided remotely for 1–2 hours per month. Action planning can be included within regular support or provided as ad hoc hourly input where needed.

Training and Development
Team capability

Training and Development

Delivery

On-site, Remote

Best for

Teams who want practical training on CQC expectations, inspection preparation, governance, evidence, compliance or service-specific areas of concern.

Training can help leaders and teams understand what CQC regulation means in practice and feel more confident explaining how their service provides safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led support. Sessions are tailored to the organisation, audience and issues that matter most.

Support may include

Understanding the role of CQC and the current regulatory approach.

Preparing leaders and teams for assessment or inspection.

Strengthening governance, evidence and quality assurance.

Exploring service-specific compliance concerns or areas where teams need greater confidence.

Enforcement Response
Urgent regulatory support

Enforcement Response

Delivery

Remote preferred, On-site possible

Best for

Providers who need urgent, practical help responding to CQC concerns, enforcement correspondence, draft reports, factual accuracy challenges or formal notices.

CQC concerns and enforcement correspondence can create significant operational and reputational pressure. Let’s Make Lemonade can provide a calm, practical review of the issue, available evidence, immediate priorities and the response required.

Support may include

Reviewing CQC correspondence, draft reports and the issues raised.

Helping providers organise relevant evidence and identify factual or contextual points requiring clarification.

Supporting clear, proportionate response wording and improvement planning.

Helping leaders establish immediate priorities and prepare for the next stage of the process.

Typical engagement

Support is scoped around the issue, available evidence, urgency and required next step. Remote delivery is preferred, although on-site support may be possible. Urgent or immediate assistance is subject to availability.

A clear and practical way to begin

The scope of support depends on the provider, the issue and the outcome required. The process begins with a conversation rather than a standard package being imposed.

Step 1

Start with a conversation

Explain the service, current position and the issue or objective you would like help with.

Step 2

Agree the right scope

The type of support, delivery format, timing and likely fee are agreed before work begins.

Step 3

Receive practical support

The work is delivered around the agreed scope, with clear communication and practical next steps throughout.

Not sure which service is right for you?

A short conversation is often the quickest way to clarify the support needed, likely scope and next practical step.
